Gina Harm is president of Afton Chemical Corp. in Richmond, Virginia, which she joined in 2007 as the engine oils business manager. She became vice president of business in 2011, then vice president of supply in 2015. Later that year, she was named senior vice president and chief operating officer. In that role, she was responsible for the procurement, engineering, manufacturing and logistics for the end-to-end supply of Afton’s product portfolio, as well as leadership for research and development.
Harm was appointed president of Afton in May 2018. She also serves on the board of directors of the American Chemistry Council.
Harm earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Grove City College and began her career with Stone and Webster Engineering, then Exxon Chemical Americas as a manufacturing engineer. In 1990, she joined GE Plastics, where she worked in a variety of operations, product management, sales and marketing positions. She also worked in Six Sigma for GE and earned her certification as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
