Virtual Networking with Base Camp Live

Base Camp Live sponsored by Petro-Canada Lubricants

We know that traditionally, ILMA Members look forward to meeting in Base Camp for social and business interactions - and this virtual meeting is no exception. ILMA's virtual meeting platform offers plenty of opportunity to network during the meeting with Base Camp Live:

The #EssentialILMA Lobby   offers multiple ways for attendees to interact. The News Feed creates a social media experience where attendees and ILMA staff can post photos, videos or status updates. Other attendees can then in turn like or comment on these posts, building a sense of togetherness. In addition to the News Feed, there is an All-Attendees Chat. This makes it easy for attendees to casually message or chat in a group environment. In the lobby you will also find the meeting agenda, list of meeting sponsors and the help desk.

The Annual Meeting Challenge   rewards attendees who work hard to visit each area of the meeting with points. The more you visit and interact, the more points you will earn toward winning a prize. May the most diligent attendee win! The challenge Leaderboard will be available at all times in the #EssentialILMA Lobby, so you can keep tabs on the competition!

Attendees and 1:1 Meetings   – On the "Attendees" page of the Virtual Event Hub, a list of all attendees is available. You can send direct messages or an invitation to connect with each other. If the request is accepted, the now connected attendees can request and set up a 1:1 video meeting.

Speed-Networking   sessions will randomly match attendees for a 1:1 video chat, lasting for a duration of two minutes. Once the timer hits 0:00, attendees will be re-matched with a new partner. This pattern will repeat for the duration of the session, allowing attendees to interact with a number of new people. If you enjoy your chat with someone, feel free to connect with them through the "Attendees" page to set up a 1:1 video meeting.

Sponsor Networking Lounges   or "Workshops" will be open during dedicated networking time. Networking Lounges allow up to 16 people to be on camera at once and up to 250 attendees in the session with audio. Live hosts from the sponsoring companies will be available.

Sponsor Booths   will be open all day, so attendees can jump in or out based on their personalized schedule. Attendees will be able to meet via live or video chat conversations or request a meeting with a representative. If you don't want to talk directly with a representative, you can still visit a booth to view materials, links, offers, products and more. Sponsors with virtual booths can learn more about setting up their booth by watching this instructional video.
